Sian Robinson RVN, A1 – Head Nurse
Sian has worked at Pool House since 2004 completing her training at the practice. She is responsible for ordering drugs, materials and equipment for the prep and theatre areas. Sian is also responsible for our clinical audit and is a Clinical Coach to Student Nurses. She is interested in learning more about cardiology. Sian has two pet cats called Stuart and Mumps, she hand reared Stuart who now has more than a little confidence!
Sian has recently achieve a Level 4 Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency and Critical Care. Well done Sian!
Known as Danni, she is Deputy Head Nurse and has worked at Pool House since 2005. She has an abundance of Nursing experience and knowledge and has recently achieved a Diploma of Higher Education in Clinical Veterinary Nursing and passed her Diploma of Advanced Veterinary Nursing with distinction, well done Danni!
She has a keen interest in medical diseases, rabbit care, clinical nutrition and rehabilitation as well as being a qualified small animal hydrotherapist. She is also an A1 Assessor and Clinical Coach having an active role in the training of Student Nurses. Danni has two pet cats called Reggie and Marvin who like to explore outside, and she is sure they get up to no good!
Laura Maher RVN, A1
Laura is a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse and has worked at Pool House since 2001 completing her training at the practice. Her job involves all areas of nursing care including being an A1 Assessor and Clinical Coach, responsible for the training of student nurses in the practice. Laura is keen to assist vets with soft tissue surgery and has an interest in obstetrics and paediatrics. She has two Jack Russell Terriers called Heidi and Winnie who are mischievous but very friendly!
Claire is Head Nurse. She joined Pool House in February 2010 having moved from a practice in Berkshire. Claire has a keen interest in running Nurse Clinics; she is also an A1 Assessor and a Clinical Coach having an active role in the training of Student Nurses. She has an adorable cocker spaniel puppy called Lola.
Emma has worked at Pool House for many years originally as a Veterinary Care Assistant but then to do her nurse training. Emma successfully completed her nurse training and qualified in August 2013. Well done Emma! She now works full time as a Veterinary Nurse.
Clare is a Student Veterinary Nurse having first qualified as an Animal Nursing Assistant. She joined the Practice in 2008 having moved from a practice in Wolverhampton. Claire recently completed her nurse training and became a fully qualified veterinary nurse in October 2013. Well done Claire!. She has a Jack Russell called Meg. Claire is the nurse in charge of running our in-house laboratory.
Natalie Farley RVNNatalie joined the practice as an Animal Nursing Assistant. She then went on to do her nurse training at the practice and qualified in October 2013. Well done Natalie. Outside of work Natalie rides and cares for her horses and regularly enters competitions.
Claire is a qualified Veterinary Nurse and has worked at Pool House for many years first starting at the Burntwood branch. Claire assists with operations at the Armitage branch and enjoys all areas of Nursing. She now works part time as she has a family to look after including a horse called Laddie and a cocker spaniel called Teal.
Steph is a Veterinary Nurse and joined Pool House at the beginning of 2009. She supervises work experience students at the practice and occasionally helps out with Equine Nursing. She has 3 cats and a horse called Belle who she enjoys eventing with.
Kimberley Boparoai – RVN
Kimberley joined Pool House in 2016
Georgina started working at the Lichfield Hospital as a Veterinary Care Assistant in 2013. She qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2017.
Gemma started working at the Lichfield Hospital as a Veterinary Care Assistant in 2012 but has now begun her training to become a Veterinary Nurse.
Zoe Shail – Student VN
Zoe joined Pool House in 2015 as a student veterinary nurse.
Rosie Harper – Student VN
Rosie works at Pool House as a Veterinary Care Assistant.
Finlay Maddox – Veterinary Care Assistant
Lucy Sutton – Veterinary Care Assistant
Lucy started with us a work experience student initially and showed great aptitude and enthusiasm. She decided to follow a career in veterinary work and has now started working with us as a Veterinary Care Assistant 2 days a week alongside her college course.
