Blood Donor Day with Pet Blood Bank
Wednesday 17th July
The Pet Blood Bank are coming to our hospital!
BLOOD DONORS NEEDED
Pet Blood Bank uk is a charity which provides a national canine blood bank open to all UK veterinary practitioners.
Just like the human blood service, Pet Blood Bank collects blood from donors at organised collection sessions. This blood can then be processed and stored to use when its needed most.
Just one donation of blood can help save up to four other lives!
Pool House has called on the services of the Pet Blood Bank on a number of occasions, supplying blood products to provide transfusions which have gone on to save a dogs life. This service has helped to advance veterinary medicine and has improved our ability to treat trauma and blood disorder patients. Its for this reason that we want to help the Pet Blood Bank continue their excellent work.
As with human blood banks – the Pet Blood Bank relies on regular blood donors to keep their stocks replenished and we are looking for blood donors for our Blood Donor Day.
